2020 #39-CLOSE & PERSONAL W/ AUTHOR SOPHIA M COOPER



Sophia Cooper is a native of Savannah, Georgia. She is an ordained minister. She is a graduate
of Saint Leo University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services. She is a praise
dancer; inspirational speaker; and a survivor turned advocate for survivors of rape, sexual
assault, spousal abuse, and rape by a domestic partner. In the last two years, she has become a
strong advocate of mental health awareness. She has a passion for praise and a heart to worship.
She is the author of four books “A Journey to the Truth: Breaking the Cycles that Bind” (an
inspirational), “Never…Too…Late…”(fiction), “The Devil in my Bed”(fiction), and “Lust, Lies,
& Love” (poetry). Sophia is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Mental Health
Counseling with the intention to pursue a Ph D in Clinical Psychology.
