Devenus Lashawn
Devenus Lashawn is a southern girl born and raised in Florence, Alabama who currently resides in Georgia. She has three adult children, one granddaughter, and a fur baby. When she’s not working, she can be found at a story time event or school reading her book to children. Devenus graduated with an Associate Degree in Child Development. During her career she had the pleasure of working with children ranging from infant to preschool ages. Working with a variety of children, as well as having her own, gave her insight on what children liked and disliked when it came to toys and books. Devenus was inspired by her daughter to write this book. Her daughter Lexi wanted her to write a book about a little girl who does similar things that she would do as a kid. The character is named after her daughter and resembles Devenus. Creating this book from beginning to end was an amazing journey for her and she can’t wait to get started on the next one.
