author Twyla Starr, Twyla is 14 years old and she has an amazing personality, confidence, compassion and her love for all people and all animals is a Blessing. Twyla was raised partly in St. Louis, Mo, where she lost her father at a young age in 2011. She has so much strength to have been raised without her father. In 2013 we moved to North Carolina, at the time she had a pet hamster, shortly after moving to NC, her hamster died. Her love for animals grew and she always wanted to become a veterinarian. Her dream school is North Carolina State University, to study Veterinary Medicine. Her long-term dream is to have a rescue farm to take in lost, homeless and abused animals, take care of them and help them have a better life. In Winter of 2018, Twyla began writing a story, she writes lots of stories. This story in particular, I noticed was about something she really loved, animals, girl superheroes saving animals. That is when Glitter Girl grew. She worked hard on the story and the pictures all 2019, between school and cheerleading. In December 2019, Glitter Girl was published. She was excited and proud to raise awareness to protect animals, and inspiring kids to read. Her story has a special character, Michael Cole, in memory of her father that passed away. So when you see that name, remember. Twyla is currently working on book #2. Glitter Girl part 2, coming soon. If you want to know more about Twyla
