2020 #72-UP CLOSE & PERSONAL W/ AUTHOR S.N.M. JONES




Born in Milwaukee, WI, S.N.M. Jones wrote her first short story in third grade and
dreamed of becoming an author; however, it was not until 2005 that she began
earnestly writing for purposes of publication. This was largely due to Hurricane Katrina.
After witnessing the devastation caused by Katrina first hand, S.N.M Jones decided it
was time to fulfill a life long dream. It would still be several years before she published
her first book. Whispers in the Dark is the first book of a trilogy. Her second book
Whispers in the Dark: Descent into Madness is also available.
After writing two of three books for the Whispers series, S.N.M Jones is taking a break
to focus on writing her new series titled Devil Angels and releasing her first non fiction
book titled Black Women Need Love Too which is a historical perspective of the Black
Woman relationships and how stereotypes have hindered the black woman
relationships not only with herself but with others.
S.N.M Jones has a Bachelor of Social Work and a Masters in Human Services specializing
in Social and Community Program.  She actively volunteers in the community and sit on
the board for Tomorrow’s Cultivating Youth (TCYouth), Inc. TCYouth Inc. is a 501(c)3
non-profit organization dedicated to serving the youth, by bringing awareness to the
necessary financial, social and educational tools needed to survive beyond high school.
The org motto is “It takes a village.” She currently resides in Virginia with her husband,
son and dog, Freedom.
