Shonta Watson is a self-published author born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She created Shea Buttah & The Herbal Kids in 2017 as paintings she would sell. Later, she rebranded the characters into a book. Her love for cartoons, art, and children’s literature blessed her with the imagination to create The Herbal Kids series. Shonta has been apart of the education system between Philadelphia and Baltimore for 18 years. She’s provided academic and behavioral services for children ranging in grades K-12. Her love for children, community and culture is the key component for these stories. Her goal is to make reading fun for young children of today. The author believes if you give children the opportunity to start reading at an early age. They will succeed throughout their future.
