2022-JUNETEENTH ""AUTHOR TAKEOVER"" featuring AUTHOR BLAQUE DIAMOND



Blaque Diamond is best known as the Perfectly Imperfect Parent. She is a graduate from Morgan State University School of Social Work, where she earned her BSW and MSW degrees. She is a Social Worker, International Speaker, and Parent Life Coach. She published her first book, In My Mother’s House in 2010. Soon after, she became an award-winning children’s book author for She Named Me Stacey, A Temporary Home for Stacey, Stacey F. My Forever Mommy, and The Stacey F Coloring and Activity Book. Diamond was named the 2017 IALA Awards Community Champion Legendary Honoree, in 2018, co-authored an Amazon bestseller, Open Your G.I.F.T.S Vol. II with actor/comedian Kim Coles. On January 19, 2021, Diamond released her long-awaited novel, 1380 Prospect Avenue “Not Another Bronx Tale.” Together with the release of the book trailer. Diamond is happy to co-author several books, but happiest to co-author the L3 Learn, Love, Lead book on affirmation with several authors including her 96-year-old mother. In 2021, she became a double award-winning author and garnered with the Baltimore African American Tourism Council, Langston Hughes Excellence in Literature Award, and Beyond the Abuse Lifetime Achievement Award.

 

 

In addition to writing children's books, Diamond is the owner of Blaque Diamond Enterprise. She facilitates Grandparent Cafes and is also the creator of “Unpack Your Mindfulness,” an incessantly endless passage for individuals who would like to gain insight into parenting themselves. Diamond is an advocate for children waiting to reunification with their biological families, foster care and adoption, and restoring their genetic lineage while learning unique styles of parenting. Diamond interviewed on WJZ-TV, the Baltimore Times, featured in Aspiring Authors Magazine, hosted the Denise Newsome Podcast for May National foster Care Month. and interviewed for her thoughts and counsel for Option A in India. 


Diamond has been parenting twelve children six boys and six girls, three biological children and has raised nine nieces and nephews, four of whom she has custody and three of whom she adopted from the NYC foster care system. She lives in the DMV area in the United States with her children.
