Wendell Fields has over 30 years of experience in mental health and substance use services.  In 2008, he tried to take his life by suicide over stressful issues and circumstances.  He has overcome the odds and has since dedicated his life to helping others with mental health and substance use issues.  Becoming an authority with several certifications, i.e., a Board-Certified Christian Counselor and Certified Life Coach, a Certified Peer Specialist in both Mental Health and Addictive Disease, a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist, and a Certified Anger Management Specialist, has produced impact and transformation to his community, nation, plus the world. Wendell’s impactful work has earned recognition from organizations like the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), American Association on Suicidology (AAS), Mental Health of America, PurposeFinders, Aspiring Authors Magazine, and the School of the Great Commission Bible College and Seminary for an Honorary Doctorate Degree. His dedication has allowed him to be on the Board of Directors with the NAMI Georgia.  He also has two bestseller books on Amazon.com about mental health and leadership.

He is featured in a Georgia Public Safety Training Center’s Training Video on training law enforcement agencies and officers on Suicide Intervention and Prevention.
