2021-#36 UP CLOSE & PERSONAL W/ LJ Thomas on BEHALF OF ASPIRING AUTHORS MAGAZINE

LJ Thomas

LJ Thomas is an author, publicist, CEO, and more. She spends her time helping businesses as a consultant and promoting others as a publicist. LJ has worked with bestselling authors, nonprofits, music moguls, and more in promotion and as a business consultant. She is a sought-after speaker on business topics and domestic violence, which is something she is passionate about. It is not uncommon to find her speaking at a conference or behind the scenes helping women in some way.

She is the host of the Purely Positive Show geared toward providing information and exposure. The platform spotlights positive people doing positive things for a positive community. With 7 seasons under their belt, LJ and her husband are expanding their distribution. The show can now be seen on the BHC Media Group (BHC) powered by the XOD network. With a combined viewership of 30 Billion via iOS, Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Sony TV, Android TV, and more, global reach is an understatement. She also uses this platform to expose the good deeds of others. The show is also available on Youtube, the website, and Facebook. She will be launching a new show centered around artists and the third show for authors in 2022.

While LJ does these things, she is most passionate about writing, which is her first love. She has been writing for over 40 years and is equally skilled and talented in both fiction and nonfiction. She has even penned a children’s book collection (Leo Learns About) in collaboration with her oldest grandson. He was 4 years old when he came up with the concept. The love of doing children's books doesn't compare to her love of writing to empower, inspire and motivate others, especially women. As a black woman, LJ is well versed in the struggles of trying to succeed in a male-dominated society. Still, she does not allow this to stop her in any of her endeavors. She gladly accepts challenges and is about getting things done in a professional way.

She currently resides in South Carolina with her musician/videographer/photographer husband. LJ lives with MS, but she doesn’t let it stop or slow her down. She has a non-fiction book written in layman’s terms for newly diagnosed patients living with the chronic disease (Bad Nerves: Living with MS). LJ is a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault and is published in two books on relevant topics involving abuse. The Journey is a survivor series and she is featured in both volumes (The Journey ‘Women’s Edition’ and The Journey: Domestic Violence).  She has revised the latter book and it is now titled, Tales of Survival: Domestic Violence. She speaks out against domestic violence and abuse in general. She uses pseudonyms (Jamela) for her fiction work, which includes short stories and the KIL (Kidnapped in Love) series.

LJ believes everything good, will take hard work and is worth having, especially if it benefits others. As a successful author, entrepreneur, host, and more, she continually gives her best to assist and motivate others to strive for their dreams and embrace success. She holds several academic degrees in business and management. To contact LJ, visit her website, www.purelypositiveshow.com, or email her at purelypositivenetwork@gmail.com
